There is really little doubt that the media does not like to be hit back and criticized publicly by someone who connects with the American people. Case in point is Trump’s latest little tweet criticizing emotionally sensitive talk show hosts. What does Mo and Zika expect after the daily barrage of name calling they lay at the feet of the president? It was just yesterday that Mo claimed Trump lies every day. He Doesn’t. What’s he supposed to do, take this from the bullies in the media?
It’s about time someone hit back at the irresponsible
press gossip shows. Certainly there are none too few who agree that they deserve the ire they receive. Is what Trump does “presidential?” At this point what difference does it make? Is what the press gossip columnists and talking heads do professional or worthy of a pass? Hell we’ve been giving the press a child-like pass for decades. Those days are over.
In response to this Jika tweeted out a Cheerios ad with a kid reaching for some of the Cheerios on the table. The caption read it was meant for small hands–apparently she’s referencing the now debunked claim that Trump had a small penis. But, perhaps she was talking about the Mo? Although, she should have known about Mo’s hand size given their affair has been front and center for over a year. Anyone watching their show knew two years ago something was amorous between them.
Nevertheless, the press is self consumed, and what would you expect from a class of over privileged children who think they are the 4th Amendment? The media constantly refers to themselves as the 4th estate. That means they consider themselves at once a part of the government, and also clothed with the power of free speech in absolutism. Kidlets, they soon grow up, and it is usually an adult that helps them get there, but ever notice in their adolescence they claim the adult is the one being the bully? Pot meet kettle.
After all, it is not like you don’t break civility all the time by telling people who criticize you to drop dead. But they do not like to be treated like they treat other people.
Because they so often rely on leaks — no photographs, videos or anything like them, often nothing concrete at all — what the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and so many others (even the front pages of the Wall Street Journal, alas) report is very often, one is tempted to say most often, either a distortion or an outright lie. This is particularly true when what they are reporting has political relevance — and so much does.
If not the root cause — that’s uncontrolled and unacknowledged bias — this excessive reliance on leaks has seriously exacerbated the precipitous decline of the mainstream media. For much of our media, leaks are an opium-like drug that clouds their thinking and to which they are literally addicted. They are waiting for the phone to ring like the junkie is waiting for his next fix. That the leakers all have motivations of their own, known and/or unknown, yet are able to remain anonymous to the public, makes what they leak almost de facto dubious and unreliable, in fact dangerous (as well as illegal, obviously).
They are so hysterical, they have forgotten about the Republican assassination scheme they encouraged and are now more worried about themselves being in a “war zone.” Seriously? To their deranged minds, yes. Oh well, Scalise is still in recovery from a real war zone and real gun shot wounds, but they are the ones who fear for their lives. How revealing of your own concern for your narcissistic privilege. Indeed, some members of the Democrat Party had correspondence with the would be assassin, and are afraid to release the correspondence. The media cares not a wit about real violence against their enemies, they only cast outrage at perceived imaginary violence against themselves while praising others who want to see the president beheaded in the name of “art.” It seems that the media has no sense of self when it does not even remember that it blames <insert Republican name here> for this or that attempted murder. But, as they are learning, they can be sued into bankruptcy, at least we hope that is what happens in this case. They think they are the only ones who can say, “you Republicans are murderers” and get away with it. Until Trump, the Republicans rolled over faster than the French foreign legion and were about as effective offensively than the Maginot Line.
The motivation for their hysteria, though, is because they fear their reign is over, as Sheryl Attkisson notes in her new book about how the media fakes the news, is consumed with their own economic position, and loathes the citizens of this country. This is what makes Project Veritas so important for they are finally doing something this website has contended should be done: reporters should be reported upon. Their lives should be investigated. their personal foibles and tragedies should be published. Reporters should stick a mike in their face asking for comment: “Mika, why did you get a facelift? Was it because Joe thought you aged from your last marriage? Ever see your kids, or did you abandon them for Joe?” You know, stuff like that. Stuff they do to everyone else but themselves every day all in the name of “
professional Journalism” gossip. On this score, Rush has a point:
It just screeches out at me. You know, these people, they can say whatever they want about you. They can trash you, they can libel you, they can slander you, they can make things up, and if you’re a public figure there’s precious little you can do about it. They can impugn you. They can destroy you. In many cases that is the objective, under the guise of speaking truth to power, under the guise of keeping the powerful accountable.
In this type of conflict, the media will not be moved or persuaded, and neither will their dwindling viewers they manage to hold on to. They are failing, and they know it. Whether it be Chunk Todd, or the wimpy rest of the lot, they only are legendary in their own mind. The rest of the country could care less; they loathe them and have for some time.
Part of the reason they deserve their disdain is their fake victimizing of their own position, which leads to the misuse of words like “bully.” The left and the media (but I repeat myself) does this all the time–misuse words and redefine them to suit their purpose to inflict harm on their opponents. They now have redefined the word to mean “anyone who criticizes us.” Bully actually means to threaten someone with harm if they do not do what you want them too. It often involved real physical intimidation on some level. Trump has done none of that, but the media sure has threatened Trump. Indeed, Chris Matthews went so far as to suggest someone murder a member of his family, while calling them murders. That’s a bully, and also someone who should be charged with the crime of licentiousness.
Mo and Jika went on the air this morning to gossip that Trump is mentally ill. It is not like they have not made that claim before despite the fact that there is no way they can determine such a thing–and they say they believe in science!
The media is trying to conduct a sort of coup in this republic. Trump is right to fight back and defend himself against those who would overturn the people.
It’s about time.
