The Tea Party influence in the electorate still resonates as the tax package (that holds the tax rates where they are) heads to the President, and the omnibus bill is killed.  On the tax deal, Bachmann and Pence voted nay.  There is certainly a bit of debate about the package as it appears to raise some taxes (the death tax) making the more conservative members angry at the deal.  But, the left (most noted by Pete Defazio (D-Or), considered the deal a capitulation.

Update:  I am not the only one who argues the victory at the feet of the Tea Party.
