Just in time for Thanksgiving, the WSJ has a nice article on people who are thankful–they are more healthy, happier, more active, more positive. Aristotle might say they are more human. This is one of my favorite passages:
Philosophers as far back as the ancient Greeks and Romans cited gratitude as an indispensable human virtue, but social scientists are just beginning to study how it develops and the effects it can have.
